Second day in London.

Last night I was much too tired for details. This is a shot of where we are staying

And a view outside the window

After getting an early start, we bought Oyster cards which you use to buy public transportation, and caught our first tube from Queensway to Tottenham Court Rd.

We then found our way to Leicester Square to pick up our prearranged London Pass.  We felt rather chuffed about managing all this and celebrated with a cuppa.

We then got into sightseeing mode and bought Hop ON Hop off Bus tickets and made our way to the Tower Of London.

What an amazing place!  We saw so much including the Crown Jewels collection, not allowed to take photos in there!!!

Sadly we also found out that you must charge your camera each night when on holiday!  Still got quite a few pics on the iPad.

It was then back onto the bus for the way home, catching Big Ben, London Bridge, Buckingham Palace along the way.  We are quite amazed at how close everything is.

Back on the tube then to the West End for a quick dinner, and a performance of Mama Mia! What a highlight.  The Novello Theatre looks like this in the daytime.

Inside also beautiful, very ornate decorations.  After a really enjoyable show, back home on the Underground to get ready for another big day tomorrow.
